Helping Local People Access More Affordable Solutions

Here at EcoSheffield, our ethos from day one has been simple: to make high-quality renewable energy solutions more affordable and accessible to local people.
When we started EcoSheffield, we didn’t want to become another faceless national installer. We wanted to build a renewable energy company that people across South Yorkshire could recognise, trust and recommend — a genuinely local business that puts its customers first.
As we’ve grown, that original goal hasn’t changed.

Building a name people recognise locally
You may have noticed the EcoSheffield name appearing in more places recently.
We’re teaming up with local businesses, electrical trade counters and other organisations that local people already use and trust. We’re regularly approached by businesses whose customers are asking about solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers, but who may not necessarily know where to start or which installer they can confidently recommend.
That’s where we come in.
We want to make it easier for local people to speak to a knowledgeable, accredited installer without having to search through countless national companies or fill in forms that result in endless sales calls.
It’s also why you’ll see EcoSheffield appearing on local buses, roadside signage, billboards, in trade counters and across businesses throughout the South Yorkshire area.
For us, this isn’t simply about advertising. It’s about familiarity, credibility and trust. When somebody eventually decides the time is right to invest in solar, battery storage or an EV charger, we want EcoSheffield to be a name they already recognise and feel comfortable approaching.

Local service with high standards
Being local doesn’t mean compromising on quality.
From the beginning, we’ve wanted to combine the standards, technology and professionalism you would expect from a large national installer with the service and accountability you get from dealing with a local business.
We work with leading manufacturers and carefully select the products we install, while ensuring our installations are completed to extremely high standards. At the same time, we work hard to keep our pricing competitive.
Renewable energy should make financial sense. We don’t believe customers should have to pay inflated prices simply because a company has a huge national sales operation behind it.
Our aim is to provide customers with the right system for their property, energy usage and goals at a fair price — whether that's generating their own electricity through solar, storing cheaper or surplus energy in a battery, or charging an electric vehicle at home.
You're a customer, not a number
One of the biggest things we wanted to do differently was the customer journey.
With a large organisation, it can sometimes feel as though you're being passed from one department to another. The person who originally discussed your system might not be the person arranging the installation, and when you have a question afterwards, you may find yourself speaking to somebody completely different again.
That isn't how EcoSheffield operates.
Every customer is allocated their own project coordinator who looks after their project from the initial enquiry, through design and installation, to commissioning, handover and beyond.
It means there is a familiar point of contact who understands the project and can answer questions without the customer having to explain everything again.
Renewable technology can sometimes seem complicated, particularly if it's your first solar or battery system. We believe customers should feel comfortable asking questions and should be able to get a clear answer without sitting in lengthy telephone queues or being bounced between departments.
And importantly, our relationship with a customer doesn't end when the installation team leaves the driveway.

Our reputation is on every installation
There's another reason being local matters so much to us: our reputation is right on our doorstep.
We install systems in the communities where we live and work. Our customers recommend us to neighbours, friends, family members and colleagues, so every installation matters, and you can read through what our existing customers have to say on Trustpilot.
We don't want to complete hundreds of installations and forget about the people behind them. We want somebody who chooses EcoSheffield today to still feel confident recommending us years from now.
That means doing things properly, standing behind our work and being there when customers need us. Customer satisfaction has been at the heart of EcoSheffield since day one, and as the company continues to grow, protecting that reputation becomes even more important.
Growing without losing what made us different
EcoSheffield has grown considerably since we first opened our doors, and we're incredibly proud of that. But growth only means something if we retain the values that allowed us to grow in the first place.
We want to continue investing in our team, our premises, our training and the latest renewable technology while maintaining the personal service people expect from a local company. Our ambition is certainly to grow, but not at the expense of the customer experience.
So, yes — you might see our name in lights from time to time.
You might spot EcoSheffield on your way to work, on a local bus, at an electrical trade counter, on a billboard or through another local business.
And there's a reason for it.
We want to become the trusted renewable energy installer for our area — a company local people recognise, a company local businesses are confident recommending and, most importantly, a company our customers are happy to tell their friends and family about.
Because despite how much EcoSheffield grows, the original idea remains exactly the same:
High-quality renewable energy. Fair pricing. Great customer service. Delivered by a local company that genuinely cares about every installation.
