EcoSheffield is a South Yorkshire–based renewable energy installation company, founded by Sam and Kyle in January 2025. While the business may be relatively new, don't let that put you off, we bring over 16 years of combined experience in the solar industry, along with strong relationships across the UK supply chain and leading manufacturers.
We specialise in solar panels, battery storage systems, EV chargers and full home energy solutions for homeowners and businesses across Sheffield and the wider Yorkshire area.
Our mission is simple: to provide high-quality solar panel installations at fair, competitive prices. We quickly realised that many of the big national companies are overcharging local people for solar PV and battery storage systems and we believe people deserve better. That’s why we focus on honest advice, transparent pricing and designing a tailored system based around you, your property and your energy usage — not a generic, one-size-fits-all package.

Where it all started.
We started our journey in Kelham Island — fittingly, the very place where the idea for EcoSheffield was born. It all began over a coffee in Cutlery Works, just around the corner from what would become our very first office.
That office was a modest 250 sq ft space in Neepsend House, just big enough for the two of us but it was the launchpad for everything that followed. From there, we went on to deliver over 30 installations for local customers, building the foundations of the business one project at a time.

In July 2025, just six months after getting the keys to our very first office, we found ourselves moving.. just down the corridor! Still in Kelham Island, we upgraded to a larger 600 sq ft space, giving us room to grow the team, with Adam joining us at that stage. The extra space also meant we could create a dedicated demo room, where customers could see our products up close and sit down with us to talk through their new solar system over a proper cup of Yorkshire Tea.
At the time, we genuinely believed Percy Street would be our home for the foreseeable future. From there, installations continued to roll in and so did the 5-star reviews. Our customer base grew steadily, along with fantastic feedback across Trustpilot, Google and TrustMark, something we’re incredibly proud of.

In February 2026, just one year after founding the company we reached another huge milestone: collecting the keys to our brand-new 1,600 sq ft office and dedicated warehousing space.
This move marks a major step forward for EcoSheffield. With a strong pipeline of both domestic and commercial installations, the time felt right to take the leap and position ourselves in a space that allows us to better support both our existing customers and the many new ones joining us each month.
The larger premises mean we can strengthen our relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, hold more stock, streamline operations and continue improving the service we provide. We’re also welcoming new staff to our growing team, helping us deliver even more high-quality installations across the region.
We’re incredibly proud to be cementing our place in the renewable energy sector — continuing to challenge the national companies with outstanding local service, honest advice and fair pricing, even as product costs across the industry continue to rise.
