Supporting Local Football, Powering Local Communities
When we first started sponsoring Dearne & District FC back in 2025, we were proud to become part of a club that represents the heart of grassroots football in our local community.
Now, we're even prouder to announce that we'll be continuing our sponsorship as an official partner for the upcoming season.
And what a season it's been for the club.
After an incredible campaign that saw Dearne & District FC crowned NCEL Division One Champions and secure promotion to the Premier Division, it's fantastic to see the club continuing to grow, develop and move forward.
A huge thank you to Zeph Thomas, Tom Borthwick and everyone at the club for giving us the opportunity to be involved. We're looking forward to getting behind the lads once again and seeing what the new season brings!
A sponsorship banner with a difference
When it came to creating our new pitch-side banner, we didn't want to go down the traditional route of simply sicking our logo on a board and calling it a day.
After all, where's the fun in that?
Instead, we wanted to create something that brought together grassroots football and renewable energy in a way that felt like us, a little different, a little tongue-in-cheek and hopefully memorable enough to catch punters eyes from the stands.
Because while we might spend our days talking about solar panels, batteries and powering home, we're also passionate about supporting the communities right here on our doorstep.
More than just sponsorship
For us, supporting local clubs is about more than putting our name on a banner.
Grassroots football provides a place for people to come together, gives players the opportunity to develop and creates a real sense of community. Those are exactly the kinds of things we want EcoSheffield to support.
We're proud to play a small part in helping Dearne & District FC continue it' journey - and we can't wait to see them take on the Premier Division.
So, if you're local, why not get yourself down to one of their home games, show the lads some support and keep an eye out for our new banner while you're there!
